The AER (Analogue Experience Recorder) is a playback device that enhances story telling of past experiences.
A small recording disc is worn on the users skin and records their experiences through monitoring their body's signals.
This analogue data is read by the AER playback machine projecting the experiences into a room for enhanced story telling and or reflection on their memories.
Conceptual in nature, this project was conducted as a response to the increasing trend towards digital systems that people are using today. However with so much digital information being collected our futures are at risk of becoming 'data obese' and devoid of meaning.
In addition to enhancing the analogue experience of story telling the recording disc provide an accurate time stamp of events, when read by the playback device analog experiences can be synchronized with digital data giving meaning back to the photograph or youtube video that was shot.
